Truck Insurance Office, Inc. (TIO) is a family owned and operated insurance agency that has been in business for over 50 years. John Glinski Sr. started the agency in 1969 after a 20 year underwriting career with Safeco Insurance Company. John Jr. (Jack) joined his father in 1976 and John III came on board in 2000, rounding out 3 generations of trucking expertise. Truck insurance has always been and always will be the sole focus of TIO.

John grew up in North Idaho and joined the family operation in 2000 as the 3rd generation of the Glinski family in the agency. He is part of the backbone of the office as an Agent, Accounting Manager and the sole member of the IT Department! John takes great pride in going “above the call of duty” for his clients. John holds a 1st degree black belt in karate and enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Doug grew up in a trucking family from 1978 to 1990. During that time he not only worked for the family business but also bought his own truck and ran his own company for 2 years. Since 1990, Doug has been in the insurance and financial services business, with 12 of those years dedicated to the specialized field of commercial truck ins
Doug grew up in a trucking family from 1978 to 1990. During that time he not only worked for the family business but also bought his own truck and ran his own company for 2 years. Since 1990, Doug has been in the insurance and financial services business, with 12 of those years dedicated to the specialized field of commercial truck insurance with TIO. Doug has a dual role as both an insurance producer and Manager of the TIO Compliance Department. He currently resides in Spokane, Washington, with his wife and their cat named Goose. He has two grown married daughters and two granddaughters. In his spare time, he loves golf, boating, and hanging out with family at the lake. Doug’s attention to detail and concern for client needs shows in his daily interaction with them.

Richard started with TIO in 2007 and became an Insurance Agent in 2008. His many years of experience and ongoing education keeps him up to date on the ever-changing dynamics of the trucking industry. The knowledge of the industry allows him to better serve his clients with the growth of their business and future success in a constantly evolving and competitive industry. Outside of work, Richard spends his time with his energetic 5-year-old, his slightly less energetic 17-year-old, and his loving, hardworking, and wonderful wife. They like to spend time camping and enjoying the outdoors when weather or time permits. He also enjoys road trips and seeing parts of the country and the history of that area. Richard enjoys reading books or listening to them (road trips), his favorite genre is Epic Fantasy and he enjoys authors like Brandon Sanderson and Robert Jordan. From Richard: “When I started with Truck Insurance Office an incredibly wise person told me. “Once you start in Insurance it has a way of keeping you here for the long haul”. I look back at that moment and realize I made a great choice. I get to work every day with the people who make our lives better in a million different ways. Truckers truly keep the United States moving forward.”

Steve started his career in insurance in 2005 doing personal lines. He joined the team at TIO in November of 2015. In Steve’s words: “My favorite part of my job is educating people of the importance of insurance. Every policy is different, so every call is an opportunity to break some of the ‘myths’ of insurance and the companies providing these policies. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to do what I love and for an agency that cares about their clients as much as I do. I would also like to add that I am single, I prefer redheads, I’m funny, love to cook and can fold a bottom sheet!” In his spare time you can find Steve spending time with his dog Lexy, golfing, hiking and just spending time outdoors. Steve’s positive outlook and attitude bring a fun energy to the office.

She is also unique in being one of the few office members who has held a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and has truck driving experience. This gives her added insight into the transportation client needs. She has been in the insurance industry since 2008, working with Delta Dental of WA and Safeco/Liberty Mutual before joining TIO. She has found balance between work and home life while raising twin boys that are 12 years old. She and her husband John have 7 children and 4 grandkids between them. Her hobbies consist of family activities including football, baseball and her main goal…working with her twin boys to grow up to be good young men. GO HAWKS.

She and her husband have a young son and 3 dogs and 2 cats. They love spending their spare time at Bear Lake on the Utah/Idaho border fishing, boating, four wheeling and relaxing as a family.
